GIOVANNI HOT CHOCOLATE SUGAR SCRUB
It had been a while since I had used a sugar scrub before I bought this Hot Chocolate one but was so intrigued by what I had heard about it, I couldn’t wait to test it out.
Giovanni is actually a US brand, not Italian as the name might suggest and their products are inspired by nature and eco chic. Their range of products are said to be formulated as natural as possible, are not tested on animals and are free from parabens and synthetic fragrances. This sugar scrub also contains 100% vegetarian ingredients.
This scrub is made with sugar, crushed cocoa beans and is a very warming, gentle exfoliator that leaves your skin feeling very polished without being oily.
I was surprised at the colour of the scrub when I first opened it as I expected it to be a dark chocolatey colour but it was a lot lighter than that. The smell is delicious, if you can use that as a descriptive word for something you definitely can’t eat, more cocoa butter chocolate than chocolate chocolate and the smell lingeres around in the bathroom which is also something I love about it.
The scrub does a really great job of polishing your skin without being too abrasive like some scrubs out there and its warming effect is really nice albeit a bit strange for the first time. The after feeling is really soft and smooth and you can, if you want to, use it everyday.
Since I started using it I have bought it for friends and they have loved it too.
